What we collect, why, and what we deliberately do not do. Everything below is true of the code as it is written today.

Draft. Being reviewed by a lawyer and will change.

What we collect

If you apply: your name, title, company, email, LinkedIn URL if you give one, what you told us about your revenue or funding, what you said about how you use AI, and the conversation you had with Otto. Also your IP address and browser string, which are used for rate limiting and nothing else.

If you become a member: the same, plus your seat, your table, a record of the table rules you signed, and Stripe customer and subscription identifiers.

What we do not do

We do not buy data about you. There is no enrichment provider, no people-search API, and no profile purchased from anyone. We check that your email domain has a mail record and that your company domain answers an HTTP request. That is the whole of it.

We never fetch your LinkedIn profile. If you give us the URL we check that it is the right shape and we look at it by hand if an application needs a human. Nothing automated visits it.

Your calendar

If you connect one, we request free/busy access only. We can see when you are busy. We cannot see what you are doing, who you are meeting, or what any of it is about. We use it for one thing: finding ninety minutes that works for six people.

Access tokens are encrypted before they are stored. Disconnect at any time and the token row is deleted.

Who else sees it

Stripe handles payment and holds your card details; we never see them. Anthropic processes the text of your conversation with Otto in order to answer you. Resend delivers our email. Neon hosts the database. Vercel hosts the site.

Nobody buys this data from us and nobody is sold access to it. What other members say at the table is confidential by rule, and that applies to us too.

How long we keep it

Applications are kept, including ones we turn down, because a waitlist is how we know who to contact when a table opens that fits them. If you would rather we deleted yours, ask and we will.

An unpaid seat hold expires after 72 hours and the seat returns to the pool. Your application stays.

A retention schedule with actual periods is coming from a lawyer. Until then, ask and we delete.

Cookies

One cookie, for staying signed in. No analytics, no advertising, no third-party trackers. Your conversation with Otto is stored in your own browser so you can pick it up later; clearing your browser data removes it.

Contact

hello@theeighthday.ai reaches a human. Ask for a copy of what we hold, or ask us to delete it, and we will.
